The library is not really interested in making lots of soundfiles available, so you will have to look elsewhere for live recordings or rare takes - check out the library's media department for suggestions.

But the library loves to pay tribute to one of the delightful things about a Long Winters live performance: banter. Banter among the band, banter between the band and the audience, musical banter... little bits of which will feature here.

this week's

banter of the week

For once, not the Long Winters themselves, but a cover of the Long Winters' It'll be a Breeze by Ken Stringfellow. Introduced with some community spirit banter that does John Roderick proud.

A recording of this song can be found on Ken Stringfellow's 2008 ep The Sellout Cover Sessions vol.1, released by SellOut! Music. On their website information can be found about how to order the ep in the US or in Europe.
